77 Global Services
Grabe!! Kakaririn ko na tong kompanyang ito!! Wahahaha!!
Okay, let's start with how my day started. I woke up at 8 (I was planning on waking up at 6 so I could start my SAship at 8, but unfortunately I wasn't able to wake up, duh), so I got there at 10 and worked till 12. Went up to SC office to meet with Jhaphet, went to Starbs Taft to meet with Karen, then went to Century Park Hotel where the 77 Global Services Talk was going to be held.
We got there a few minutes past 1, and we were the first ones to be there. Ewww! So we signed up, then they had this raffle thing. The prizes were: 128MB flash disk, 256MB flash disk, wireless mouse, and a portable USB keyboard. Jhaphet and I signed up for the keyboard, then Karen signed up for the mouse. John Ross and his gang (Karl, Lloyd, Renz Eullo, Arun, TJ Mendoza, TJ Lumang, Kenley, Arun, sorry if I forgot someone) were just right behind us. So we went in first.
Others came too. Amiel, Justin, Michael, Anson, Jeff, Wren, Antet, Derrick, Lyka, Lulu, Marlon, and a couple of upperclassmen. Yeah, we were a bit few, but it was okay.
Grabe, the recruiting peeps were so jolly!! As in! They were really really okay, they weren't intimidating or anything. Of course, the pure talk part was kinda boring (I was sooo sleepy, not to mention hungry, and we all know that that is a bad combination especially when you're listening to a talk). Then came the question and answer portion. So we basically asked basic questions. Harhar! You know, how many were they going to accept, etc. Then they served food!! Yummy! Baked White Macaroni (hahaha), some finger food breads, and a mango thingy dessert. Hehehe. The food was great. I was actually able to satisfy my hunger earlier, even if the food didn't seem that much.
Raffle time!! Derrick won the 128MB, Marlon the 256MB, Kenley the mouse, and for the keyboard... YOURS TRULY!!! MWAHAHAHA!!! I WON THE PORTABLE USB KEYBOARD!! WAHAHAHA!! Jhaphet was so bitter at me! =p He really wanted the keyboard. Hehehe. Of course, he needs it more than I do, since his laptop keyboard is really off-beat. Karen was bitter at Kenley too! Hahaha! It's because Kenley didn't really sign-up for the mouse raffle, he was supposedly on the 256MB flashdisk raffle. Hehehe. And he won the mouse! Harhar! I was with 2 bitter people. Harhar!
And then they interviewed us, one-on-one. We were assigned to different people, and I was assigned to Ann (at least that's what I remember from the calling card she gave me). She was the jolliest person for me and I was really glad that I was assigned to her, even if initially I was assigned to another person. Anyway, we didn't really talk much about work and all. She just asked me how I found the talk they gave and all. Blah blah. She explained that there is a 3-year contract if we work with them (before that talk, I wasn't okay with a contractual type of work, but afterwards, what they have to offer appealed to me, so I said that yeah it's okay with me). She asked me if I had any questions. Blah blah. Just send to her my resume. Blah blah. And that's it. I think we were on the same wavelength, being jolly and all. Harhar!
So yeah, that's practically what happened today. Harhar I'm so happy!!
Anyway, it's course card day tomorrow. Hope I get good grades. My expected grades:
INSTORY - 2.0
GAMEDES - 2.5
LITERA1 - 2.5
We got a 4.0 for THESIS already! Yey!!
So it's just the SA that I'm worrying about. Sheesh. I'll finish by Friday. Hopefully.
Thank God!
